2008 Technical Quality in Urban Planning Award
Prointec's work towards drafting this plan received the 2008 Technical Quality in Urban Planning Award from the Department of Public Works and Urban Planning in the Murcia Region.
Cieza is the main municipality in the judicial district of the Segura river plain. Prointec's review of the plan highlights the territory's important agricultural production capacity, and combines this with its appropriate expansion and urban development. The document proposes the harmonious integration of its heritage resources, the ethnographic and hydraulic elements in the agricultural area of Murcia, and the archaeological remains and sites of geological interest.
